Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Mood Reactions Chrome extension and its backend service ("Mood Reactions", "we", "us"), operated by Ayaz Qureshi, India. It does not cover other projects on this website, which have their own policies.
What the extension looks at, only inside your browser
To notice moments like a successful payment or a failed login, the extension checks, on the page you're viewing:
- Short visible status messages, such as toasts, alerts and headings ("Payment successful", "Incorrect password").
- The page address (for example
/order-confirmation). - The method, address and status code of requests the page makes (for example "POST /login returned 401"). It never reads request or response contents.
- Whether a login form or a "Continue with Google"-style button was used. It never reads what you type.
None of this is stored, logged or sent anywhere. It is used on the spot to decide whether to show a GIF, and then discarded.
What is sent to our server
- When you activate or re-check your license: your license key and a device label (for example "Chrome on macOS"), so we can confirm your purchase with our payment provider.
- When fetching GIFs: the mood name (for example
login_fail) and a temporary license token. We do not receive the website you're on, its address, or any page content.
Like any web service, our hosting provider sees your IP address when the extension contacts our server, and keeps short-lived technical logs (time, endpoint, status, approximate country) for security and debugging. These are kept for a few days and not used for anything else.
Purchases
Purchases are handled by Dodo Payments, who act as the merchant of record. You give your name, email, billing address and payment details to them, not to us. We never see your card or UPI details. Dodo shares your name, email, country and order details with us so we can deliver your license, handle refunds and answer support requests.
Third parties
- Dodo Payments: payments, subscriptions, refunds and license keys.
- GIPHY: GIF images are loaded directly from GIPHY's servers, so GIPHY receives your IP address and standard browser request headers when a GIF is shown.
- Cloudflare: hosts our server.
Stored on your device
Your settings (on/off, sites you've turned it off for, how long reactions stay) and your license key are kept in Chrome's extension storage. Settings may sync across your Chrome profiles through your Google account; the license key does not.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or share your data.
- We don't use it for advertising or build profiles.
- We don't collect your browsing history.
- We use data only to provide the extension's single purpose: showing reactions.
Your choices
You can turn the extension off globally or per site, deactivate it from the activation page, or uninstall it at any time, which removes everything it stored on your device. To access or delete the purchase information we hold about you, email info@insideandroid.in. We'll keep only what tax and accounting law requires.
Changes
If what the extension collects ever changes, we'll update this page and tell you in the extension before the change takes effect.
